Corporate Career

I guess that I am one of the lucky ones in that I knew what I wanted to do from an early age. I liked maths and a conversation with a careers officer led me into the world of accountancy.

A few years later, with a Degree under my belt and a professional qualification from CIMA I got the opportunity to work for a PLC after the CEO took me under his wing - I will always be grateful to Bob Healy for that. Thanks Bob

My role took me overseas to France, Germany, Sweden and even Morocco working as part of an M&A team working on deals to grow the group. I loved it.

After leaving Amberley Group PLC I went on to work at CFO level before setting up my own business in 2008 which continues to do well today providing accountancy, financial consulting and business advisory services

Away From The Office

Sport has always played a big part of my life. I loved playing football and played over 500 games at a high standard (including a handful of games for Hull City Juniors) before hanging up the boots at 33.

I am at the gym at 5am most mornings and enjoy a game of squash - I just love to compete, it never leaves you!

I watch my favourite teams Liverpool and Hull KR (rugby league) when I can and had season tickets at Anfield for 11 years before my 5 children were born.

My children are by far the single most important people in my life, and the reason that I do what I do. I am very proud of them.
